The NFF Gridiron Club of Dallas is partnering with Ford’s Garage in Plano, Texas, to host a College Scholarship Fundraising event at their restaurant to raise college scholarship funds for deserving high school scholar-athletes.
Ford’s Garage in Plano is more than 9,800 square-feet and sculpted to look like a 1920s service station and is filled to the brim with Ford memorabilia, including vintage vehicles, fixtures, and gas pumps, as well as a 1929 Model A car suspended above the center bar. Playing further into the theme, servers are dressed like mechanics, blue shop towels are used as napkins, and the bathroom sinks are made from tires and fuel pump nozzles. Even the bar inside the restaurant is decidedly vintage, mixing prohibition-style elements like brick, richly colored woods, and a copper bar top that’s hammered by hand.
Ford’s Garage signed a historic licensing arrangement with the Ford Motor Company in 2014 to become the first and only restaurant company to license the Ford name, logo, and gain access to historic Ford photos to display in their restaurant. Ford’s Garage has opened over 24 locations around the country and have as many as 10 locations planned throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
