NFF Gridiron Club of Dallas Partners with DFW Chapter of the NFL Alumni Association for Charity Golf Tournament

The NFF Gridiron Club of Dallas is partnering with the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of the NFL Alumni Association to increase fundraising efforts that will provide college scholarships to deserving high school scholar athletes around North Texas

DALLAS (January 23, 2024) - The NFF Gridiron Club of Dallas (NFF Dallas), a chapter of the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame, announced today that they are partnering with the Dallas-Fort Worth chapter of the NFL Alumni Association for their 2nd annual charity golf tournament. The tournament will focus on raising funds for college scholarships to benefit high school scholar-athletes recognized at its annual awards banquet each spring.

“We are excited to partner with the DFW NFL Alumni Association for our tournament this year,” said NFF Dallas vice president and tournament director Gary Peek. “This partnership brings a new and exciting dynamic to the event where a current or former pro-athlete will serve as the fifth player on each team that signs up for the tournament.”

“The DFW NFL Alumni Association is proud to continue its mission of Caring for Kids and the Community by supporting the NFF Dallas charity golf tournament this May, said DFW NFLAA president Liffort Hobley, former NFL player for seven seasons with the St Louis Cardinals and Miami Dolphins. “The work that NFF Dallas is doing to recognize senior high school athletes for their performance on the football field, in the classroom, and serving the community, is commendable and we want to help these young men be successful in their future education and career pursuits.”

The tournament is open to anyone interested in supporting NFF Dallas and its purpose. The tournament includes a post-golf dinner emceed by Scott Murray, award winning sportscaster, and will feature a special guest speaker to be announced at a later date.
